A 4-week program for men who want to learn a real yoga practice designed to improve mental, physical and sexual health. You’ll learn a practice that combines functional movement and breathwork to help you move better, breathe better and feel better!
Who It’s For This course is for guys who want to remain healthy and active throughout their life and would like to learn a personalized yoga practice they can do at home, on the road or out in nature. It’ll also be an opportunity to meet other men and have conversations about male health that are supportive and non-judgemental. Dads, Uncles and Granddads are encouraged to bring a young man over the age of 14 as long as theydon’t need special attention and can handle open and frank conversations about sex, aging etc.
About Brian James I’ve been teaching a therapeutic approach to vinyasa yoga that combines mindful breathing and functional movement for over a decade and have studied with many senior teachers in the tradition of TKV Desikachar and Krishnamacharya.
Although I’d practiced yoga on and off since my late teens, I got serious about it after suffering a number of injuries related to work stress and martial arts training in my early 30s. Now in my early 50s, I enjoy biking, running, paddleboarding, pickleball, kettlebells and martial arts without pain.
I became certified as a yoga teacher in 2012 when I moved to the island after leaving a successful graphic design career in Toronto. Over the past fourteen years I’ve taught yoga all over the world, in faraway places such as California, China, Montréal, New York and the Peruvian Amazon.
Teaching at an ayahuasca centre in the Peruvian Amazon.
