Simple Guide to Online Yoga Courses

I’ve produced so many yoga practice resources over the years that I thought it might be helpful to offer a simple guide to the courses I’ve created, based on the most common requests I get from students, clients and teachers.

Happy practicing!

“I want a yoga practice to help me prepare for and integrate my psychedelic experiences.”

The Shamanic Yoga series combines therapeutic and meditative vinyasa flow with shamanic journeying and chanting with drum and rattle. Learning how to explore consciousness with safe and accessible tools like yoga and drum journeying is one of the most effective ways to prepare for and integrate psychedelic experiences.

“I love sun salutations and wish I could experience that same meditative flow with other postures.”

The Elemental Tantrik Vinyasa course features four mandala-like vinyasa sequences inspired by the four great elements of earth, fire, water and air. Each sequence can be practiced a number of ways and together form a complete practice that incorporates all the essential movements and postures for overall strength and flexibility.

“I want to learn how to create therapeutic and enjoyable yoga sequences for myself and/or my students.”

The Art of Yoga reveals the secrets to creating yoga sequences that blend the best of vinyasa flow yoga and a therapeutic approach. Unlock your creativity and learn how to design and improvise vinyasa sequences that are safe, effective and enjoyable. Perfect for yoga teachers or home practitioners who want to go deeper.

“I want a simple practice to help me move better and feel better.”

Vinyasa Foundations offers four progressive therapeutic vinyasa yoga sequences that will give you the foundation for a lifelong, life-supporting and life-enriching home yoga practice.

“I want to start exploring ways to customize a yoga practice to meet my unique needs.”

Everyday Yoga For Everybody is an innovative program that teaches you a number of short vinyasa (breath and movement) sequences that you can practice individually or combine in countless ways to create a personal yoga practice based on your changing needs and daily schedule.

Sample practices ranging from 15 – 45 minutes long are included to get you started and show you how you can "find your own flow" by combining shorter sequences into a completely personalized practice.

“I want to incorporate pranayama into my practice, but don’t know where to start.”

This short program gives you the straight goods on safely beginning a pranayama practice. I give detailed instructions on what practices to begin with and how to do them safely and effectively, just as I learned them from my teachers in the Krishnamacharya/Desikachar lineage. These techniques are time-tested and proven to provide greater health, resiliency, relaxation and mental clarity. Pranayama is the real heart of yoga.
